Terms of Service

Effective: 27 August 2026 · Last Updated: 27 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and QuizCash ("we", "our", "us") for your use of Praveenya — our education application for Android and iOS (package com.quizcash.live), the related institution web portal, and our websites (together, the "Platform"). QuizCash is the name of the operating company; Praveenya is the name of the product.

Praveenya is an educational product with two sides to it. It is a place to learn — practice quizzes, exam preparation and assessments set by your school or college — and it is a campus workspace where students, parents and teachers can see attendance, marks, timetables, assignments, notices, study material and school documents. By downloading, accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Praveenya is free to use and offers nothing of monetary value. There are no cash prizes, no monetary rewards, no wagering, no betting and no real-money gaming of any kind. No purchase, deposit, stake or entry fee is required or possible. Scores, ranks, streaks and badges are learning-progress indicators only — they carry no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything. See Section 4.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms apply every time you open the app, sign in, take a quiz, or use any campus feature.

  • By creating an account, or by continuing to use the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
  • Our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer form part of this agreement and are incorporated here by reference.
  • If you use the Platform on behalf of a school, college or other institution, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for that institution, and "you" includes that institution.
  • Where an institution has a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement prevails over these Terms to the extent of any conflict — for that institution only.

2. Who we are

The Platform is operated by QuizCash, a company based in India. You can reach us at any time at support@quizcash.in. Grievances under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 may be addressed to our Grievance Officer — see Section 23.

3. What the Platform does

What you see depends on your role and on which modules your institution has switched on. Not every feature listed below is available to every user, and an institution may enable or disable most of them at will.

3.1 Learning and practice

  • Practice quizzes organised by subject and chapter, with instant feedback, explanations, and the ability to bookmark a question for later.
  • Scheduled quizzes and tests set by an institution, with instructions, a countdown timer and a result once the attempt is submitted.
  • Answer review of a completed attempt — shown when, and if, the institution that set the assessment chooses to release the answer key.
  • Progress tracking — subject and chapter mastery views, revision lists, streaks and score-based leaderboards.
  • Study material — notes, documents and links published by an institution for its own learners.

3.2 Campus workspace

For members of a participating institution, and only for the modules that institution has enabled, the Platform may show:

  • Timetable — the day's and the week's periods.
  • Assignments and homework — what is due, and the ability to submit work, including file attachments.
  • Attendance — the record maintained by the institution and, for staff, the ability to mark it.
  • Marks, report cards and board results — assessment outcomes published or imported by the institution.
  • Notices and announcements from the institution.
  • Academic calendar — declared holidays and upcoming deadlines.
  • Leave — applying for leave and tracking its status.
  • Surveys — course-exit questionnaires and faculty feedback forms.
  • Syllabus — topics planned and topics covered.
  • Student profile — the record the institution holds for the student.
  • Documents — certificates, scholarship and internship files issued to the student by the institution.
  • Fees — a read-only view of the institution's own academic fee record. Please read Section 8.

3.3 Joining, roles and linking

  • You join an institution by entering the code it gives you, or by scanning its QR code. Your request takes effect only when the institution approves it.
  • What you can see and do depends on your role — for example student, teacher, or institution administrator.
  • An institution may issue a guardian code that lets a parent or guardian link to a student's record and follow that student's academic progress.
  • The Platform may send notifications about quizzes, homework, notices and other academic events. You can turn these off in your device settings.

4. No prizes, payments or gaming

This section is important, and it prevails over anything elsewhere that might read otherwise.

Praveenya does not offer any cash prize, monetary prize, payout, financial reward, stake, wager, bet, lottery, sweepstake or real-money game of any kind. Specifically:

  • No monetary prizes. No quiz, test, leaderboard, ranking, streak or competition on the Platform awards cash or anything with a monetary value.
  • No entry fees or stakes. You never pay, deposit, stake or risk anything to take a quiz, sit a test, or appear on a leaderboard.
  • No purchase necessary. The app is free to download and free to use. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paid unlocks. No feature is gated behind a payment to us, and the app contains no payment SDK.
  • No balance, no payouts. The Platform holds no monetary balance for you and makes no disbursement to you. There is nothing to deposit and nothing to withdraw.
  • Points have no value. Scores, ranks, badges, streaks and progress points are indicators of learning progress only. They have no monetary value and no cash equivalent, and they cannot be redeemed, encashed, transferred, sold, gifted or exchanged for money, goods or services.
  • Not a game of chance. Quiz outcomes reflect a learner's knowledge, accuracy and speed. Nothing on the Platform is a game of chance, a betting or gambling service, a lottery, or an online real-money game.

If any communication, listing or third-party description suggests that Praveenya offers a monetary benefit, that description is wrong. This section states the position, and it governs.

5. Eligibility, students and children

  • The Platform is intended for learners, teachers, institution staff, and the parents or guardians of learners. It is open to learners of all ages, because it has no age-restricted feature.
  • If you are a minor under the law that applies to you, you may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of your parent or legal guardian, or through an institution that has obtained that consent on your behalf.
  • Where a child uses the Platform as part of an institution's programme, the institution is responsible for obtaining and holding verifiable parental or guardian consent, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any other applicable law.
  • A parent or guardian who allows a child to use the Platform accepts these Terms on that child's behalf and is responsible for the child's use of it.
  • If you enter into this agreement in your own right, you confirm that you are competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, or that a parent or guardian has accepted these Terms for you.

6. Your account

  • To use most features you must register an account with accurate details and keep them current. Registration is verified by a one-time code sent to the contact you provide.
  • You may hold only one account. Creating additional accounts to get around a restriction, or to appear more than once in an assessment or ranking, breaches these Terms.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and one-time codes confidential, and for everything done through your account. Do not share your credentials, and never let another person sit an assessment as you.
  • The Platform may limit an account to a single active device at a time, so signing in on a new device ends the earlier session. This is a security and assessment-integrity measure.
  • Tell us immediately at support@quizcash.in if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
  • You may delete your account from within the app or by writing to us. Deleting your account ends your access; records an institution holds about you as its student remain the institution's records and are dealt with under Section 13 and our Privacy Policy.

7. Institutions, roles and membership

  • An institution — a school, college, coaching centre or similar body — registers on the Platform, invites its members and decides which modules to enable for them.
  • Membership is granted by the institution. It may approve, decline, change or revoke your membership, your role and your class or division placement, under its own rules.
  • Your role determines what you can see and do. Administrators and teachers see and manage information about the learners in their charge; learners see their own.
  • Content posted by an institution — quizzes, notices, homework, marks, materials, documents — is that institution's content, published under its authority and on its responsibility.
  • If your relationship with an institution ends, the institution may end your access to its area of the Platform. Your Praveenya account itself is unaffected.
  • We are not a party to the relationship between you and your institution. Academic decisions, marks, attendance, discipline, certificates, fees and grievances about any of them are matters between you and the institution.

8. Institution fees shown in the app

Some institutions enable a Fees module. Where it is enabled, the Platform may display the fee structure, instalments, amounts due, concessions, any late fine, and receipts that the institution itself has recorded against a student.

To be completely clear about what those figures are:

  • They are the institution's own academic fees — tuition and related academic charges set by that school or college under its own fee policy and the education regulations that apply to it.
  • They are set, billed, collected, receipted, adjusted, refunded and disputed by the institution, not by us. Payment is made to the institution by whatever method the institution offers, outside this Platform.
  • They are not an entry fee, a stake, a wager, a subscription to Praveenya, a platform charge, or a payment of any kind connected with taking part in a quiz, a test, a ranking or a competition.
  • We do not collect, process, hold, route or receive any of these amounts. The Fees screen is a read-only reflection of the institution's own record, shown so that a student and their guardian can see where they stand.
  • Any question or dispute about a charge, an instalment, a due date, a concession, a fine or a receipt must be raised with the institution — it is the only body that can answer or change it. If a figure in the app differs from the institution's own record, the institution's record governs.

9. Advertising

  • Praveenya is free for learners. We do not charge you for access to any feature; the Platform is funded in part by advertising.
  • The app may show banner, native or full-screen advertisements supplied by Google AdMob and its mediation partners.
  • Some optional screens may ask you to view a short advertisement before they open. Nothing you receive for viewing an advertisement has any monetary value, and no assessment result, mark or academic outcome ever depends on viewing one.
  • Advertising content is selected and served by the advertising networks. We do not endorse advertisers or their products and are not responsible for their goods, services or claims.
  • Where the law requires it, you will be asked for your advertising consent before personalised advertising is served. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings — see the Privacy Policy.
  • We may enable, disable or change advertising placements at any time, including switching advertising off entirely for particular deployments.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable Indian law or the rules of your institution.
  • Create or use more than one account, impersonate another person, or give false registration or profile information.
  • Access, or try to access, another user's account, data, submissions, marks or documents.
  • Upload, post or transmit anything abusive, obscene, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, invasive of privacy, harmful to a child, or otherwise unlawful.
  • Upload malware, or anything designed to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or to any user's device.
  • Scrape, harvest, bulk-download or systematically extract questions, answers, study material, student records or any other content from the Platform.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, tamper with, or attempt to derive the source code of the Platform, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation, probe or test its security, circumvent any access control, or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Platform or its content without our written permission.
  • Exploit a defect instead of reporting it. If you find one, please tell us at support@quizcash.in.

11. Academic integrity

Institutions rely on the Platform to run genuine assessments. When you sit a quiz or a test you agree to do so honestly and on your own.

  • Do not use any bot, automated script, macro, screen-reading tool, second device or third-party aid to answer questions, unless your institution has expressly permitted it.
  • Do not collude with others, share questions or answers, capture or circulate assessment content, or coordinate attempts.
  • Do not let anyone sit an assessment in your place, and do not sit one in anyone else's place.
  • Integrity monitoring. During a timed attempt the app records when you leave the app and return. Repeated switching away is treated as a violation: the app warns you, and after a small number of violations it may end and submit your attempt automatically. A summary of these events is stored with the attempt.
  • Integrity records are made available to the institution that set the assessment. The institution decides what an integrity event means for a student's result, under its own academic rules. We do not grade, moderate, revalue or overturn an academic decision — those belong to the institution.
  • Suspected cheating may also lead to suspension of your account under Section 20, in addition to any action the institution takes.

12. Content and who owns it

12.1 Our content

The Platform itself — its software, design, interface, brand names, logos, graphics, text, original question banks and other material we create — belongs to QuizCash or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for your own learning or for your role at your institution, and for no other purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

12.2 Institution content

Quizzes, question papers, notices, homework, study material, marks, timetables, documents and other material uploaded or published by an institution remain the property of that institution or its licensors. We do not claim ownership of it. The institution grants us a limited licence to host, store, process, transmit and display that material so that we can operate the Platform and deliver it to the people the institution intends. The institution is responsible for holding the rights to what it uploads, and for its accuracy and lawfulness.

12.3 Your content

Anything you submit — homework and its attachments, survey answers, leave applications, profile details, feedback and support messages — remains yours. By submitting it you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit and display it strictly in order to operate the Platform and make your submission available to your institution and to the staff entitled to see it. That licence lasts only as long as we need it for that purpose. It does not let us sell your content or use it for unrelated commercial purposes. You confirm that you have the right to submit whatever you submit and that it infringes no one else's rights.

12.4 Moderation and takedown

We do not pre-screen user or institution content. We may, however, remove or restrict access to content we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law, or that we are required to remove. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights or is unlawful, write to support@quizcash.in with enough detail to identify it, and we will act in accordance with applicable law.

13. Institution responsibilities for student data

Where an institution uses the Platform to manage its students, the institution decides what data is collected about them and why. In the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the institution is the Data Fiduciary for that data and we act as a Data Processor, handling it on the institution's instructions in order to provide the Platform. Each institution and its administrators accordingly agree to:

  • Have a lawful basis for every record they create or upload, and obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent where a student is a child.
  • Give their students, parents and staff the notices the law requires about how data will be used on the Platform.
  • Upload only the data actually needed for academic administration, keep it accurate and up to date, and not upload sensitive personal information the Platform does not require.
  • Manage their own users carefully — grant roles and access only to staff who need them, withdraw access promptly when someone leaves, and keep administrator credentials secure.
  • Respond to their students', parents' and staff members' requests to access, correct or erase data, and pass on to us anything that needs action on our side.
  • Not use the Platform to profile, target, track or advertise to children, or to make any decision about a student that the law does not permit.
  • Indemnify us against any claim arising from data the institution uploaded without the necessary rights, consents or notices.

Our own handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Nothing in this section makes us responsible for the accuracy of a record an institution created, or for an academic decision an institution took.

14. Intellectual property

"Praveenya", "QuizCash", our logos and our product names are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission, and you may not use any mark or name confusingly similar to them. All copyright, database rights, design rights and other intellectual property in the Platform are and remain ours or our licensors'. Any feedback or suggestion you send us may be used by us freely and without obligation to you.

15. Third-party services

The Platform relies on services operated by third parties, including:

  • Google Firebase — push notifications, analytics, crash reporting and remote configuration.
  • Google AdMob and its mediation partners — advertising and advertising-consent management.
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers and storage.
  • Communication providers that deliver verification codes, e-mails and notices.

These providers have their own terms and privacy policies, which govern how they handle data. We are not responsible for their services. The Platform may also link to external websites whose content, accuracy and practices are outside our control.

16. Availability and changes to the Platform

  • We may add, change, suspend or withdraw any feature, and we may release updates you need to install in order to keep using the Platform.
  • Individual modules are switched on or off by each institution, so a feature available to one user may be unavailable to another.
  • We may need to interrupt the Platform for maintenance, upgrades, security or operational reasons. We aim to minimise disruption but do not promise uninterrupted availability.
  • Some features may be offered on a trial or preview basis and may change or be withdrawn without notice.
  • The Platform is not a statutory or examination system of record. Institutions must keep their own authoritative records.

17. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

  • We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • Quiz questions, answers, explanations and study material are prepared by us or contributed by institutions. They are a study aid. We do not warrant that any of it is free of errors or omissions, or that it matches the current syllabus of any board, university or examining authority. Do not rely on it as an authoritative source for a high-stakes examination.
  • Marks, attendance, timetables, fee records, certificates and similar information are supplied by the institution. We display what the institution recorded; we do not verify it and are not responsible for its accuracy.
  • Nothing on the Platform is legal, financial, medical, tax, career or other professional advice.
  • We make no promise about any academic result, examination outcome, rank, admission or career benefit arising from use of the Platform.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QuizCash and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, partners and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity or academic outcome, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Platform — whether the claim is framed in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and even if we were advised that such loss was possible.

Because the Platform is provided to learners free of charge, our aggregate liability to any individual user for all claims relating to the Platform is limited to INR 1,000. Where an institution pays us under a separate written agreement, our aggregate liability to that institution is limited to the amounts it paid us under that agreement in the twelve months before the claim arose, and that agreement's liability terms prevail if they differ.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold QuizCash, its affiliates, officers, employees and agents harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, your infringement of any third-party right, or — in the case of an institution — any content or personal data it uploaded to the Platform without the necessary rights, consents or notices.

20. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Platform — with notice where practicable, and without notice where the circumstances require it — if we reasonably believe that you have:

  • Breached these Terms, including the acceptable-use and academic-integrity provisions;
  • Created multiple accounts, or provided false information;
  • Engaged in fraudulent, abusive, harmful or unlawful conduct;
  • Compromised the security, integrity or availability of the Platform or of another user's data; or
  • Exposed us to legal liability or to breach of a legal obligation.

An institution may separately end your membership of its area of the Platform under its own rules. You may stop using the Platform at any time, and may delete your account from within the app or by writing to support@quizcash.in. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply after it.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time, for example when we add a feature or when the law changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Where a change is material we will give notice in the app or by e-mail before it takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the amended Terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the Platform and delete your account.

22. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Platform, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

If a dispute arises, please first write to us at support@quizcash.in so we can try to resolve it amicably. If it is not resolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement of the parties, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the language of the proceedings shall be English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding.

Subject to the above, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a competent court.

23. Grievance Officer

Grievance Officer: Ajit Kanse
E-mail: support@quizcash.in
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we acknowledge a grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receipt.

24. Contact

For any question about these Terms or about the Platform, write to us at support@quizcash.in. If your question is about marks, attendance, homework, a certificate or a fee record, please contact your institution first — that information belongs to the institution, and only the institution can change it.

Praveenya is a free educational quiz and campus-administration application. It offers no cash prize, monetary reward, wagering, betting or real-money gaming, and no purchase or entry fee is required to use any part of it.
